South Florida's home prices went up by more than 12% in May 2013

Home prices in greater South Florida, including distressed sales, grew by more than 12 percent in May on a year-over-year basis.

CoreLogic is reporting that in the greater Miami area, home prices grew 14.4 percent in May of this year compared to the same time last year. On a month-over-month basis, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 3.2 percent in May compared to April

In greater Broward County, home prices, including distressed sales, rose by 12.5 percent in May on a year-over-year basis. On a month-over-month basis, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 2.1 percent in May compared to April, according to CoreLogic.

In the greater Palm Beach area, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 12.1 percent in May 2013 compared to the same time last year. On a month-over-month basis, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 2.6 percent in May compared to April 2013.
