Montrose Colorado Fireworks July 6th, 2013 The Show Will Go On

Montrose Colorado Fireworks July 6th, 2013 The Show Will Go On. In spite of the hot, dry weather, the Montrose Fireworks Show is still going to happen. Unless the weather takes a turn for the worse and there are high winds, the show will go on. The show is set for Saturday, July 6th, 2013.

Montrose Colorado Fireworks July 6th, 2013The Montrose Chamber of Commerce confirmed this information. The rockets will get shot off at the usual spot on the hogback. Bring your lawns chairs and get set for a great show. There is a countywide fire ban in effect. The fireworks show is exempt from the ban unless the sheriff's department decides conditions could cause fire problems.

Delta, Colorado is still planning on having it's Fireworks Show as well.

The Delta Chamber of Commerce is getting a lot of calls about this subject. I confirmed this information with the chamber myself. The show will go on. The show will take place at Confluence Park, on July 4th, 2013, and the fire department will shoot the rockets off over the lake.

If you plan on viewing the fireworks display from anywhere near Confluence Lake...get there early. This area fills up fast. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and bug repellent. The area on the edge of Garnet Mesa will also fill up quickly.

Remember the countywide fire ban that is in effect for Delta, County, too.  Part of the ban includes fireworks. Don't risk getting into trouble by using fireworks on your own. Right now the fire danger is extremely high, and law enforcement will be watching out for offenders.

Because both Delta and Montrose will be having their displays on different nights, this is a great time to enjoy two shows.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 22 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. As a real estate broker, I also love to share my expertise in this area as well. If you need any real estate information for Montrose County, or Delta County, Colorado...please give me a call.

AS dry as it is I am suprised they are going to have it.  I know a few years ago when things were dry the firework were set off from a small barge in the middle of a large lake!

The powers that be were supposed to make the decision on Durango's display for this year today.  I didn't hear anything so I suppose it will be in the newspaper tomorrow.  Frankly, I think we should cancel it.  It's just too dry and dangerous here even if it is handled by professionals with the Fire Dept on the ready.

Each year we hear about folks getting hurt or killed as a result of mishandling fireworks. I pray all will be safe. Happy 4th.

Thanks, John. Watching a movie also sounds like a great way to spend The Fourth.

I'm surprised, too, William.

Hi, Sondra...I hope we get some rain across the state soon.

I know how you feel, Jeanne. I was surprised both of our local shows are going to happen.

Hi, Joe...with it being so dry, I hope people obey the fire ban.

Hi, Dorie...I was wondering my self so I called the local chamber offices to find out.

You are so lucky to have such beautiful fireworks and I'm glad that the fires have not come close enough to change your July 4th celebration.

We certainly do not have to worry about that here, we have had a years worth of rain in a month. 12 inches in June and no stop so far this July. We may be getting enough of a break as the storms move west to have our fireworks tonight,

Debbie, with the dry conditions and all the fires going on now I hope people in your area are careful and use a little common sense when using fireworks...we don't want more firefighters losing their lives.  Last year it was dry around here, but still people shot off fireworks and a few yards burned.
