2013 Peachtree City Fireworks by Richard Weisser. The 2013 Peachtree City GA Fourth of July Fireworks have been postponed due to weather.

The annual extravaganza has been pushed back to Labor Day.

It’s a big disappointment but there is no other alternative as the rains continue to fall with no letup in sight.

The annual event attracts tens of thousands of fireworks aficionados from all over the South Metro Atlanta area and the biggest problems are usually traffic and crowd control.

Have a safe and happy 4th!

Richard, disappointing for sure. We had one town here that had to cancel and they have no reschedule policy. It is always well attended as it is the best around I have to say. Although we have no rain predicted for today, or tomorrow that will get in the way of fireworks and fun, the issue is the school fields that all park on. Plus the firetrucks cannot be on the fields as required. The damage to the fields would be extensive (they are over saturated) and just about everyone would be stuck.

But the 4th goes on!

Have a good one, despite the rain. Happy 4th of July!

Hopefully the rain will stop by September.  I know there are going to many disappointed people tonight.
