Door County Real Estate Today: Focus on Baileys Harbor, WI 54202.
With the July 4th holiday at hand, how can we NOT focus on Baileys Harbor Properties? Today the small town of Baileys Harbor will swell to nearly 100,000 visitors at various times for fireworks, food, festivals and to celebrate new businesses, including Door County Brewing Co., the reopening of DC Deli, and the reopening of Maxwelton Braes resort and it's new flagship restaurant, MAX.
Rest assured, this is a one-day event, because Baileys Harbor remains a town of choice for people who want to be on the Lake Michigan side of the Peninsula, where there is less traffic, more woods, and things are generally slower-paced than on the Green Bay side.
Baileys Harbor Properties
Homes in Baileys Harbor can run the gamut from costing a few million dollars on the shore to under $100,000...but the homes under $150,000 will generally need some work. There are some more desirable areas than others because of the lakefront, including Ridges Road, Frogtown Road, and the area around Kangaroo Lake. Kangaroo Lake is an inland lake that offers several properties for sale at the time of this writing. If you are lucky, you will be able to find a generational home on Kangaroo Lake for sale for under $500,000.00 ( a home that has been in a family for several generations). These usually have more extensive shore. They will need upgrading, but they always have plenty of charm.
