left. I found and I'm sure you will agree the people, natural beauty and lifestyle to be too great of an asset to even think of leaving. If you love the seasons...you'll love Maine! Biddeford Pool is a small seaside community on the South Coast of Maine. One of Biddeford Pools many claims to fame is it is the site of the first permanent recorded settlement in Maine. Situated about 6 miles from the Downtown Biddeford, Maine, a rustic former Mill Town, dotted with refurbished Mills from days gone by when Textile Production was the engine of a vibrant economy. Our more famous neighbors in Kennebunkport, home of President George HW Bush, lie just a few miles to our south. Portland, Maine's largest city, is just 18 miles to the North and offers a huge variety of restaurants, shops, cultural events, sight seeing and museums.
Just 90 minutes to Boston, Biddeford Pool has become a jewel of an attraction in Southern Maine. Beautiful beaches, rocky coastlines light houses and lobster boats all combine to form a picturesque seaside village where the friendly Maine lifestyle shines through at every turn.
