A Map to Your Home
I am a mapping kind of guy, we draw all sorts of maps for our forestland projects and with our rental properties we also do a bit of mapping.
With the rentals our maps differ a bit from the forestland properties; generally these maps are more like floorplans.
These floorplans are a big hit with the prospective renters; it lets them visualize what living in the home will be like and lets them visualize their furniture fitting in the home.
I am never sure why most agents don’t provide a basic floorplan when listing homes, the first thing that I do when touring prospective investments is to flip the spec sheet over and draw a rough floorplan, this helps me to remember the property and determine how rentable it will be.
After my offer is accepted, then the rough floorplan gets a new measurement and a more precise floorplan that can go into a rental add.
