California has beautiful sunrises and sunsets. If you have never experienced them, be sure to come for a visit and say a while or stay forever…….
This morning at 5:44 am in Redlands, CA looking over the San Timoteo Canyon.
Sunrise is the instant which the upper edge of the Sun appears over the eastern horizon in the morning. The term also refers to the entire process of the sun crossing which takes approximately 34 minutes. I really like this picture as a bird is flying by.
There is the illusion of the sun moving but actually it is the Earth’s motion that causes the sun to appear. This motion called Sunrise was a major event that most cultures of the world created myths and religions about the entire process. There were also many myths around the moon phases.
The time of ‘Sunrise’ is so majestic and I love to get up early and watch the sun come up. No matter what my day was like yesterday, I see the new day as even better.
Having a positive attitude is important. Whether you say ‘shake a leg’, ‘wakey-wakey’ or ‘rise and shine’, the important thing is to get up early and watch the sunrise at least once.
It is a very inspirational time and would be the perfect time to do yoga.
