ALERTS for Bronxville, NY 10708 ~ Police Chief announces a bridge closure
First, we had all that rain this June that flooded Bronxville basements and even businesses throughout Westchester. In some cases, I was having flashbacks to the flooding after Hurricane Irene that filled many of our Bronxville client's homes and businesses.
With a microburst or two, the high water table and now more rain, we are seeing lots of wet basements and clients frustrated by rainy weather, but happy to have their properties cleaned up.
We are helping home and business owners deal with wet, water damaged basements and finished lower levels all over Westchester County for the past two weeks.
Meantime, Chief of Police, Christopher Satriale at the Bronxville Police Department sent out this alert, in case you missed it:

Effective immediately and until further notice the New York State Department of Transportation has closed the Parkway Road bridge that spans the Bronx River to vehicular traffic in both directions. Pedestrian traffic is still permitted on the bridge. Access to the Bronx River Parkway and Sprain Brook Parkway is still available via Parkway Road from Midland Avenue.
