The Sales are still coming in the heat of the desert..

It's well documented here in the steamy Palm Springs Valley, that we are a seasonal, vacation community.  Meaning that we have a very set "season" and it runs from mid October through mid-April.  I've been living here in the desert since mid 80's so I've experienced this "flee the heat" mentality every April/May.  The past 5 years have seen some changes however.  Our "season" is lengthening.  I have many clients that originally intended to live here during our unbeatable winters, then head back to cooler climates.  They are changing their minds after experiencing our desert lifestyle.

There is still a noticeable decrease in numbers of cars at the end of the season, but compared to past "ends of seasons", those numbers are climbing.  Our slower, friendly desert style of life is addicting..be careful!  My sales have continued steadily, though not as franticly as during the peak of our season.  These beautiful desert homes just closed...

So glad that the sumemr time heat does not put a stop to sales.  It would be easy for buyers to just decide to wait until it was cooler for getting out and looking at homes.

I love, love, love the desert...and totally understand how it can be addicting.  I just cannot give up my cold and snow, though - we would have to live in the cold in the winter and desert in the summer, which doesn't make sense to most folks.  ;-)
