Okay this has been bothering me for awhile, and I guess the first reason is it's unnecessary.
what is it? you may ask.
I keep getting solicitation for employment through avenues provided to me by my current employer, and frankly I don't like it.
First, let me say that as an experienced loan officer, I'm going to get solicited, as do most experienced mortgage lenders. Apparently there's just not enough of us who have made it through the tough times.
Now here's the part I don't like.
I work for the American Eagle Mortgage Co, and they provide me with certain normal type means of contact and communication. One is my corporate email email@example.com
I use this for many things, especially applications and customer contact. I also use it for internal communications, as it is a secure means to communicate. The cost for this email, and the supporting systems is borne by guess who?
So why do headhunters, HR people, and other companies feel that it is okay to use this email to contact me to solicit me for employment.
Because I don't think it's okay. I feel that that behavior is inappropriate, and possibly unethical.
I'm really just not that hard to find, without going to an address provided by my employer, at my employers expense.

do you want my first impression to be distasteful? do you want me to just think you & your company are lazy, that you'll take all the shortcuts?
