Healdsburg Real Estate likes Good Termite Inspectors

We are in Califorrnia and the homes here must look like a giant salad bar for termites. They are part of our lives and a good termite inspector with a construction background will help preserve that investment.

I strongly recommend the inspector not be from a company that does repair also. You see, when they are bidding repairs they are able to jack the price up of those repairs to prices somewhere in the stratosphere. Yes the type of inspector I use is a bit more, $250.00 where I live verses $175.00 but they will get way more money out of you in the long run.

I also suggest that unless you are in an area that is really wet that you go with the traditional inspector. A good inspector will find the deficiencies every time. If not they come back at not charge. Do not get talked into thermal scanning. termite freezing or orange oil. What worked in the past works today. I would also suggest having it done every 5 years. The suggestion is every 2 years but since most do it every never year I like my idea.
