Summer is upon us! Are you ready to entertain guests outdoors?

Summer is the most common time of year to host parties and other types of gathering at your house. If you enjoy hosting parties and entertaining guests, you want to keep them coming back by giving them a comfortable environment to relax in.  By doing so you are not only creating a welcoming enviroment, you are also icreasing the value of your home. Some of my clients call that "the best of both worlds!"

What better way to do that than to improve the Feng Shui of the surroundings. A clean home, inside and out, is a positive home and emits a positive vibe. This "Chi", as some people call it, can improve how the visit goes and sets the mood at a good pace. A common summer gathering almost always involves BBQ. So let's improve on that area, have you ever thought of an outdoor kitchen? Here are few more small projects that you can do.

  • Install a paved or flagstone path to a the open area.
  • Buy or build various types of tables with an umbrella for the shade.
  • Install a vine-covered wood pergola in your backyard to create a shady tunnel.
  • An organic outdoor dining area
  • You can even add a little bar area.

Don't forget that while you want to improve the area for your guest, don't forget about yourself, make sure you leave enough room for you to move around while you cook. So make sure you also build yourself a prep area.
