Why does everyone assume I have a smart phone??
Although I'm fascinated with my son's phone because of the 360 degree photo capabilities, I can't justify paying for a fancy phone or for monthly service for any kind of cell phone. There's no signal here and I work exclusively from home. Oh well...
Meanwhile, I agree with Rob. It's gotten pretty silly when people can't pay attention to the people they're with because they're busy paying attention to their smart phones. Those photos of 4 people dining "together" but all focused on their phones are becoming all too common.
I still have a "basic flip phone". It makes calls, takes calls and I can do short texting. What it is NOT is a typewriter. What is doesn't do is, make BUTT dials.
More worry's are, that I am going to becoming like most, heads down and screwing with it all the time. People are always messing with them when in class, business meetings, walking across the street or in the middle of talking to me. When it beeps, it has PRIORITY. I think the person talking to you should have PRIORITY. This is starting to sound like a rant. I just am worried about becoming one off THEM.
I was amazed by a TV add that wanted to sell you a smart phone at a "low" rate if you traded yours in. What are they going to do with the old one? Snoop thru your hard drive? I of course don't have a smart phone, Am I "chopped liver? How did you handle not being addicted to your smart phone3?
