5 Ways to make Facebook groups work for you

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Here are 5 tips from inman.com about how to utilize Facebook groups to help expand your network and business.

1 Use the new Graph Search to find Facebook groups based on your interests.

2 Facebook groups enable you to make connections and “meet” new people before events so you can jump into the important stuff when you meet in real life.

3 Specific Facebook groups like the Evernote for Real Estate group or Tech Support for Real Estate Agents can work as an instant problem-solving hub.

4 Looking for a place to bounce off a marketing idea? Maybe you need some guidance after hours about a contract you’re working on. Your reliable Facebook group peers are a quick way to get some feedback.

5 Facebook groups are a great place to keep visiting long after an event is over. Keep in touch with your new contacts and friends you made — you may even stumble upon a lead or two.

Good list...especially the last one.  It is called social media, which does mean keeping in touch.

Facebook or any and all social media can really take a huge amount of time.  I really wonder if it's worth it?

Carter good tips!  Another  tip I'd like to add is stay clear of groups that become negative. I've seen a couple of real estate groups go south in complaining & whiney manner and I just don't have time for that type of group. I stick with the groups that are upbeat and positive.
