A real estate business means a schedule that is often a little out of the ordinary - seldom an 8-5 Monday - Friday kind of world. But that works fine for me, since many of my weeks look like this one:
Sunday I was showing houses to two different sets of buyers - nice people and sunshine to make our outing pleasant. I don't always work on Sundays, but sometimes weekends are when buyers are available to house hunt. And sometimes weekends are when out of town, relocating buyers are IN town, searching for their next home. So, yep - sometimes I work on Sundays.
But this week also included a mid-week "play day". Yesterday I got to go watch my granddaughter's swim class, and then load her up for some fun. We watered the veggie garden (and she managed to water me - just a little bit). We had a picnic in the yard (interspersed with exclamations about sightings of bunnies or dragon flies).
And we had a raspberry jam making session that only left us both a LITTLE bit sticky (the floor might be more than just a little sticky).
We had a craft session resulting in a pine cone smeared in peanut butter and bird seed, with a thread tied on so she could hang it from a tree branch for the birds to find their banquet.
SO, yep - real estate might mean that sometimes I work on Sundays - but then there are the Wednesday play days!! Life is good!
