The 18-hole "Cheval" course at the Cheval Golf & Country Club facility in Lutz, Florida is home to 7,005 yards of golf. From the long tees of a par of 72, the course also holds a rating of 74.2 and it has a slope rating of 131 on the Bermuda grass. This course was designed by Steven R. Smyers, ASGCA. The beautiful Cheval Golf course opened in 1985 and is managed by Steve Martin (General Manager).
Cheval’s Golf Course is a meticulously maintained course, it reaches throughout the Cheval Development's gated community. Where cypress trees are abundant along with native Florida wildlife that include deer, alligators, otters, eagles, wading birds and much more.
This par 72 course features six sets of teeing distances that provides challenges for golfers of all levels. Three sets are individually rated and sloped for women at 4873, 5513 and 6030 yards. Four sets are rated and sloped for men, beginning with a distance of 6030 yards (popular with our senior members) and followed by our regular tees at 6419, our championship tees at 6710, and our pro tees at 7145!
