Today, July 15, 2013, starts more nighttime construction on the 91 Freeway.
This is the SR-91 Westbound Lane Widening Project that will add one new four-mile long lane in the westbound directon between the 57 Freeway and the I-5 Freeway.
This is part of Orange County's Measure M Program. Caltrans and the OCTA are demolishing the wesbound edge of the 91 overpass at Brookhurst Road this week. Construction will occur from 9pm-5am nightly for at least the next three nights. Brookhurst Road will be closed during the work. Expect higher traffic patters on both Euclid Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.
We get about a week break, then they are doing the same work at Raymond Avenue. If you life in any of these areas, expect to hear construction work including sawcutting and demolition/loading.
If you'd like to get alerts about he work on the 91 Freeway, you can sign up for them at here: 91 Construction Alerts.
Because construction noise will occur between 9pm and 5am, plan your sleep accordingly. Perhaps some quite music or an indoor fountain will mitigate the noise and allow you to sleep during the nighttime construction on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
