A few curb appeal tips

Remember all those outdoor fix-up projects you put off last winter waiting for the summer months? Well, summer is here and it time to think about getting some repairs in while the temperatures are still agreeable. Keeping your home in “Top-Notch” shape not only adds to its curb appeal but it saves you money as you ward off more expensive fixes down the road but look at it this way: You’ll be spending a couple of weekends outside basking in the beautiful weather and making sure your home looks fantastic while you can still enjoy its charms. Soon enough it will be time to pack it up, head inside and cool off with a shower and the a/c.

One of the simplest and most satisfying fix-ups you can do is to make your windows sparkle and shine letting in the clear summer light and saving you from having to turn on the lights in your home. Remember mold loves dark places so the sunlight can really be good too. Don’t forget, your front entry is your homes ambassador, signaling to your guests if you are friend or foe. If yours is more  “War is hell” than “Good to see you, ally.”  then perhaps you need to spruce things up a bit to make it more welcoming.

Finally, while you’re out there, if you spent the winter battling hail, storms, tornadoes, hurricanes or a combination of them, be sure to get both the roof in shape and the gutters functioning before having to battle the bad weather again. If you are interested in being bold then you could install a "Rainhandler" which is a new aeronautical way of dispersing the rain that is self cleaning and eliminates clogged gutters!
