On July 16th 2013 Frisco Fire Department will begin offering CPR/AED awareness courses for people who live and work in Frisco.

The free course is designed for individuals who want to gain the skills needed to perform CPR or use an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course is not designed for ALS/BLS certification. No cards will be issued for completing the course. The classes will be scheduled for the third Wednesday of every other month, starting Aug. 21. The two-hour course will take place at Fire Station 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Frisco Fire Department is enrolling participants. Upcoming dates are:

- Oct. 16
- Dec. 18
- Feb. 19, 2014
- April 16, 2014
A new community education hotline is now available at 972-292-6351. It can be used for anyone with questions or needing to schedule station birthday parties, CPR/AED courses or CERT and CFA classes.
