They say you can tell if somebody inserts a rainbow into a photograph with Photoshop because you should look at which way the sun is shining. Some photos with rainbows are unlikely to be real if the sun is shining directly on the object because that's not what produces a rainbow. A rainbow is created by reflection from behind.

In this particular photo of William Land Park that I shot yesterday while riding my bike, the sun is setting in the west, and we are looking east. Even though it was just an hour break from my work as a Sacramento real estate agent, I had to stop and take a picture. You can't pass by such wonderful opportunities to observe nature and the beauty in nature. Not bad for a cellphone photo, huh?

You can read more about it in my professional blog on my business website at A Rainbow With Geese in William Land Park.

I continue to be amazed at the quality of pictures that can be obtained via a cellphone.  They beat the images taken on my Kodak Baby Brownie, and most cameras I owned before the digital age in photography came along.  It's neat that you captured the rainbow.  William Land Park - hallowed ground for me!

Why is it hallowed grounds for you, Myrl? Do you have family members buried in Land Park?
