Local Artwork in Surprise.  Community is so important where you live. It keeps you in touch with what is going on in your city and neighborhood and allows you many experiences for yourself and your family.  The City of Surprise Arts and Culture Advisory Commission has selected artwork from local artists to be displayed in the Surprise City Hall now through September 30, 2013 for the enjoyment of the public and some is even for purchase.

Local artists and aspiring artists love to have their artwork displayed. This is a great opportunity to have others see their work.  Stop by Surprise City Hall at 16000 N Civic Center Plaza Surprise AZ to take a look at what the local artists have to offer. The admission is free and the hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

If being on the Arts Commission is something you would like to volunteer for, there is an opening.  You can pick up an application at the City Clerk’s office while visiting City Hall and looking at the artwork display. You can also get an application at www.surpriseaz.gov  or call 623.222.1200 for more information.  If art and volunteering at the city level is something that you are interested in, this would be a great opportunity to take advantage of.

This is just one way that the City of Surprise keeps the spirit of community going.  Surprise is a great place to put down roots for you and your family.  Come experience this big city with a small town feel just 40 minutes from downtown Phoenix.  You will be happy that you did.
