Things to do in Old Orchard Beach
Old Orchard Beach has long been a favorite summertime destination for our French Canadian neighbors and much of the town parles Francais. With seven miles of pristine beach, there is room for everyone and everything. Take a surf lesson, kite surf, jet ski or take a fishing charter. The sky is the limit. In the evening, there are concerts, fireworks displays, nightclubs or take in a game with Old Orchards Minor League baseball team. Feel free to explore, grab some of OOB's famous Pier Fries or perhaps some delicious fried clams on the boardwalk or one of the many fine restaurants. There are accommodations to fit every budget and life style from campgrounds, RV parks, hotels, motels, condos and seasonal cottages and quaint bed and breakfasts. Old Orchard Beach has it's own exit on the Maine Turnpike and affords an quick trip to Portland, Maine's largest city just 15 miles north.
