California independents could not vote for anyone!

How is that for a surprise. For the people in other states...you may actually count yourself lucky. You may be hip high in snow

but not

snowed

snowed in by leaders(?) who have gone before to self serve their own interests.

Republicans could only vote republican. So that is why I have changed by registration.

Frustration, concerns, stuff in our state...such troubles

The worst,,,hidden lurking problem here is still the fact that somebody decided to make our power a private opportunity. Ungoverned, and guess what the private sector did with that....they just made money.

The power plants planned to be dissasembled in Redondo Beach were started and then stopped. They sit as near obsolete chunks of metal painted with whales in an ironic shrine facing our ocean on Catalina Avenue.

Power and politics the most decadent issue around.

Its a primary election and every state needs to have closed primaries.  There is too much game playing that influences the election.  The primary is for voters in their own party to decide who will be their candidate for the general election.  In some states you had people out there saying, our candidate is going to win so vote for XXX in the other party.

The candidates need to stand on their record, ideas and policies.  The voters need to know the true facts on candidates and make a educated decision.

As I understand it, Here in CA. people registered as Decline to State could vote in the Democratic primary. How many actually new to ask for the ballot is a question, but those people could have some tiny little say.

I am watching what the super-delegates do, If they turn from the voter's will, I expect that many of us will finally split off and find some other way to not be heard.

Interesting times!

Deregulation, It's all about the money, I don't care what the industry, deregulate it and it turns out bad for the little guys, and almost always costs us more in the long run. But oh, how the profits can soar!

Lynn, Here in Connecticut, you could not vote, in the two party primary, unless you did belong to one of the parties.  Independents were advised to register for one of the parties if they felt the need to vote, weeks ahead of the deadline and it was publicly broadcasted constantly.  The controversy brought out more voters. I think most people have mixed feelings about the current issues.
