Burlington Storm

By

We had quite a storm in Ontario last night.  It whipped through Burlington in about 5 minutes and did a lot of damage to trees.  It is amazing how many roads in our Burlington neighbourhood that are blocked by fallen tree branches.Tree knocked over and split at ground level

A tree fell in the park near us and took down a transformer causing a fire and leaving us without hydro for 4 hours.Uprooted Tree  We had fire trucks on the street, neighbours congregated and it was very exciting for our 3 and 6 year-old grandsons who were staying with us overnight.

Gail, it's amazing how some areas were hit harder than others. We escaped any real damage thank goodness. I can't get over the picture in the paper of the hydro poles down on Appleby Line.

I just talked to my chiropractor who lives on Northshore near the highway.  She had her windows blown out.  The insurance company said they had never seen that before.

Amazing! I did hear that Northshore was one of the areas hit harder.
