Bill, you are so right. One way to get off my list is to do a bad job. And you get exactly what you pay for indeed.
William, I agree with you, plus I too, like to deal with "Mom and Pop," rather than the big box stores. Mom and Pop stores have real personality and super personal service.
Good point! You get what you pay for with most things, and repairs are in that category as well.

Agreed. Fix it now once or a couple of times in the future. I find that the old time hardware store is becoming more & more valuable when you have places like Home Depot & Walmart thrown in the mix.

I have to agree with you all the way. I will pay more for a quality item and have it for a long time.
It can be very hard to find American made or other good quality in a small town.
sometime it is all you can afford for the time being. Quality is always the best way to go if possible.
