Estero Bay Community Radio

Residents of Cayucos, Morro Bay and Los Osos will soon have their own community radio, Estero Bay Community Radio (EBCR) at 97.3 FM in October.

The community radio was conceptualized by Hal Abrams, who saw a need for a hyperlocal community radio station that would unite the residents in Morro Bay, Los Osos and Cayucos.  Abrams is a 30-year radio veteran, and host of the nationally syndicated Animal Radio® show.

While the community radio awaits the license from the Federal Communication Commission, volunteers have stepped in to serve on the Board of Directors.  Volunteer talents are already hosting a variety of shows spanning from art to business, fitness and health to music.  The license application is endorsed by the City of Morro Bay, and supported by Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and professionals.
