While a number of Kansas City sports fans are a buzz about last night’s exciting Royals come-back win and many more offer their opinions on how the Chiefs are going to do this year, did you realize there is a national championship sports series being played out right now in the Kansas City metro?
That’s right, for the second time in just four years, the Overland Park Soccer Complex is hosting the US Youth Soccer Nation Championship Series. With twelve lighted, regulation-size fields and a number of amenities covering 96 acres at the southwest corner of 135th & Switzer in Overland Park, Kansas, the complex has been rated as the number one soccer facility of its kind in the nation by Livability.com. The championship series involves 88 of the top teams from across the nation, players ages 13 - 19, and continues through Sunday, July 28th, 2013.
