Homes for Heroes is, in essence, a Teachers Mortgage Assistance Program. The program was actually created after the events of 9/11 and affiliates with real estate agents and mortgage lenders as a way to say "Thank You" to the men and women who are Heroes in the community. Heroes include military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, health care professionals, and teachers, making it a Teachers Mortgage Assistance Program.
