Kerr and Gillespie County-Area Home Inventory Falls to 14.7 Months
Kerrville Board of Realtors – According to data in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) supporting the Kerr and Gillespie County-area, year-over-year housing inventory fell to 14.7 months in June, a decrease of 4.5 months from June 2012.
Mid-year statistics for 2013 reinforced a strong demand for the market, including a 14.5 percent increase in home sales. Days on the market compared to the first six months of 2012 remained virtually unchanged at 182.
The total dollar volume of single-family properties sold in June, 2013 was more than $6.69 million. This is 9 percent lower than the same month last year. Year to date, total dollar volume increased by 12.6 percent, totaling more than $41 million for the first half of 2013. This is already 58.8 percent of the total dollar volume of home sales for all of 2012.
