Yesterday was a very busy day that has been part of a very busy couple of weeks..... I love to show houses but I was exhausted and going to the mountains after my 3 PM closing was not first on my list.
This pleasent man called me a few days ago just before a movie started. I took his information down and called him the next day. He called me on a listing in a nearby town that I have. Then he seemed interested in the mountains. He was sort of looking for his daughter and himself. Seemed sort of interesting. Going to the mountains takes a bit of planning and a long block of time.... I had a problem at a rental that kept me there until 1 AM Friday morning and I had to be up at 5 AM... I was seiously not sure about this trip....
I had a list of homes to look at. I carefully made sure I knew where they all were (no cell coverage hence no GPS in the mountains). Then I picked up the customer and we left. It was a glorious day. I had a power nap that gave me a lot of energy and the day trip was great. We saw a bunch of homes (one of which he wants to see again). He thought his daughter might like one. The highlight of the day was the elk in one yard
There was a baby but I didn't get that. Isn't mama georgeous. We had some ice cream when we got into Idaho City.
I don't know if he will buy a home or just needed to escape the city. Either way I am very lucky that once in a while I get to show homes in the mountains. I also met a very interesting person! The trip I was so worried about was a blessing. I came back refreshed and ready for my open house.
