At Kaigai Lifestyles, whenever possible, we like to personally inspect the developments in our portfolio as part of our due diligence process. Recently I paid a visit to a new developer in our portfolio located in the Dominican Republic.
Here is part one of the notes about my trip.
Visit to Casa Linda – 1
From Toronto (YYZ) I was on a direct flight on Westjet to Puerto Plata (POP). Direct flights are always SO nice! The flight was uneventful and the time passed pretty quickly – the flight was just under four hours in duration.
Whenever you are flying into a foreign country there are customs and immigrations to fill out. In this case we were given a Blue Immigration form and a White customs form to complete. We were also given a credit card sized tourist card. We were told to make sure we didn’t lose it otherwise there would be a cost to replace it. I wasn’t quite sure what this was for – discounts maybe? Anyway I certainly didn’t want to lose it so I carefully put into my wallet, which, for safe keeping, was then placed back in the bottom of my bag.

Please keep in mind that at Kaigai Lifestyles we are here to help you and your clients who are thinking about buying an International Property. Most of the developers we work with provide our registered clients with an exclusive money saving offer that is over and above any incentives they offer to any buyer. Your clients benefit by working through us - we help to ensure that they don't make an expensive mistake or suffer with 'vacation brain'. We also pay great referral fees! BTW we are not involved in local real estate - we only work in the offshore markets.
