National Milk Chocolate Day is July 28, 2013.  What a great compliment to National Ice Cream Month!  

Some people prefer milk chocolate and other dark chocolate.  Milk chocolate also includes milk solids which gives it the creamy soft texture. The other difference between milk chocolate and dark chocolate is the amount of cocoa butter, and sugar.  The exact amount required is regulated by the country of manufacture.  You will find differences between the USA, Swiss, and other countries.

If you like Milk Chocolate, I hope you celebrated today.

I missed it, but seem to be in the majority here in preferring dark chocolate....or, heaven help me, white chocolate, which is almost too good.
