5. Marketing Plan Stunk. How well did the current agent market your home? Were there Open Houses? Was it placed all over the Internet? Did he or she host a Broker’s Open to let area agents know about it and see if they had any buyers for your property? If your home is on the market – but nobody knows about — is it really on the market? Lack of a solid and clear marketing plan is important in understanding why your home did not sell.
4. Seller Motivation. How motivated are you to even sell your home? This is a bigger factor than you think in why your home did not sell. Time for some self-reflection!
3. Condition. How does your home look from the outside? Does it have great curb appeal or is the landscaping a complete mess? What about the interior? Is it updated or does it appear like it's from the 70′s … the 1870′s?!? Condition is a HUGE reason your home did not sell.
2. Area. Sometimes the area is just not suitable for current buyers. Maybe there are not enough jobs or potential buyers don’t like the schools. Sometimes we can’t always control the reasons our home did not sell, but we will certainly try!
