Christine - So glad you like them Yes, hardwood floors are the most popular and most desired in our area. You guys are more of a tile market.
Debbie, I bet they will be awesome refinished and refreshed. And just think, you will get to do it.
Debbie, what cool floors! we see some really interesting flooring in some of the homes that Harry Wardman designed in the early 1900's. The patterns are sometimes so inticate and intereting. Next time I see one, I'll pull out my iPhone and send you a picture!
Debbie,
These are amazing floors. The floors in the Paris apt where we stayed had some of that type on inlay work, and they could have used your expertise, do you travel for floors? LOL A
Debbie: Really nice, and classy way to do wood flooring! I have seen medallions in stone but never in wood, that I can remember!
Over the years, have purchased a number of properties that have had hardwood floors with some of the most amazing designs and patterns. Always had them refinished.
Now that you have published that first photo, you watch - it will show up in the news as the next, featured crop circle.
Debbie, I don't know how long it would take an 1880's craftsman to complete a design like that but it's excellent to see that you are the one to give it another 100 years of enjoyment to many.
Good morning Debbie. Those are some cool and unusual floors indeed. I always enjoy your knowledge and insights. Enjoy the day.
I love the old homes. I was in a few yesterday and the wide planks from teh 1700's are really quite interesting.
Debbie: These floors are beautiful. Can't wait to see your finished work!
Debbie - Yes, I can't wait. Both closed this weekend. Yay!
Patricia - That's cool. I have to get more pictures of these. The one from the 1880's is diffeent in every room. Oh, and yes, pls do send pictures.
Alexandra - Oh yeah there are some cool ones there. Next time I go, I'll be in heaven staring down.
Jane - Yes, they look really cool in wood.
Joe - That is good and yes, refinishing does wonders.
Jay - LOL, you never know.
these are some very unique features Debbie. A lot of time and effort went into this work.
Hey, Debbie! I included this post in today’s Last Week’s Favorites. Please drop by and check it out, and have a great week!

Debbie, these are beautiful. How much would something like that cost now? Can you even get it?
Debbie, I'm going to be looking for those "after" photos. I am so in love with wood flooring. Obviously, you are the go-to person for all info regarding this matter. Thank you for that!
Debbie, I have come across floors like that in some older homes. Great craftsmanship from a long lost era.
Debbie - the old hardwood floors are really fantastic, the amount of work that went into the parquets is amazing!
Debbie, I love the hardwood, it is such a nice warm look. Unfortunately, there is not the demand down here like there is up north, more properties here have travertine and porcelean.
