If you have not at least looked at Twitter you should. I have been using and enjoying it for almost a year now and although I can't claim I have gotten any business from it I do find it a good recourse. Twitter is a community that I select the members of, I can get feedback almost immediately on virtually anything I want, and occasionally I even get some support when I need it.
Here are a few examples of how it can be used:
- Traveling, get suggestions on things to do and where to eat
- Internet and computer problems - Wow there are lots of technically talented people out there willing to stop what they are doing and help with my problem.
- Looking for a service provider, just ask who is a good web designer or photographer and you will have a list very soon.
- Have something in your blog you want to share, post a link on twitter and you have instant traffic.
- Not sure what to have for dinner tonight or how to cook salmon again? Send out a tweet and you will be inspired.
- Get some encouragement if you are having a bad day.
Maybe the best part is making new friends and acquaintance from all around the world and having the opportunity to hear what they are doing and how they are feeling.
