Photo Tip: Collage for Your Main Image

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Northern Virginia Homes - FRANKLY REAL ESTATE Inc

Soon everyone will do this. I have been doing it for 3 years for my listings (that was a s"self prop").

The main photo should be a collage!

When buyers are looking through the internet, they LOVE photos. Oftentimes some of these website will only redistribute one phone, even if the MLS has several photos.

By posting a photo that is a collage, you can highlight a couple more benefits and attract the attention of the buyer.

Also put in the Remarks or on the image: "20 Photos available". This means that they will contact you or their buyer agent for the more photos. This works great.

Let me know if this works for you!

Finally, someone else who is doing this! I suggest this to agents most often who want to post to Craigslist but don't want to open a photobucket account to be able to post more than 4 photos. I think it is a great idea! The one drawback is that the photos within the collage have to be sooooo small.

I thought there might be some MLS rule breaking here though: I thought it was exterior shots only for an MLS lead image? Could the text be considered unfair branding?

Hey Aaron,

Yes it has to have a main front image, but it doesn't say anything about it being that image PLUS more information. As for text, I did NOT put the brokerage firm or agent name in there specifically for that reason.

As for Craigslist, if the agent doesn't know how to use Photobucket, this will be way too high tech for them to figure out. Also with Craigslist I recommend using an Ofoto album, and here is why.

Frank: Thanks for sharing this..... I always try to use a shot from different angle than the traditional one to be different. But I think this idea is better.

Thanks.
