Removing or leaving alarm system signs when selling

By
Home Stager with First Impressions by Joanna: Home Staging, Redesign, & Decor

So here is my Dilemma. I am Staging a house right now that has an ADT sign right by the door Front of house

Not sure if you can see it but it is that little blue sign on the right.  anyway, my question is, should I suggest removing/hiding that when the home goes on the market?

Part of me says no, leave it, not a big deal, and the other part of me says that the sign will give the message that the neighborhood isn't safe.

So what are your opinions on this?

If it were my house or a house I was staging, I would recommend removing the sign while it was on the market.  It is a distraction....buyers would be distracted from noticing the great exterior and landscaping by wondering whether or not there was a lot of crime in the neighborhood.

I agree.  Most newer homes have security installed now so there is no need to advertise it.  It does make you wonder about safety.
