Hidden from sight Inspecting. Desert Sun Home Inspections Carlsbad N.M.
I was not going to even post today. I was up really late getting a report done for a Doctor and the 5,000 SQFT home I inspected yesterday.
When inspecting homes, we as inspectors find ourselves in many different situations when looking for things that are not correct with the installation of appliances.
Especially the built in appliances. In most of the homes i inspect, i do find where the installer wanted to save some time and not install the unit in the correct way. They think "IMO" this will never get inspected and rely on the local building inspectors to "Never look". In mos cases this is the case. Many of the issues I find could have been preventable.
Simply by having the local inspectors do the correct inspection at the time they were there to give the home a clean bil of health. And the C of O.
Here is what I found when inspecting the Range for a buyer.
This was like this since day one, never inspected by the electrical inspector when the home was built.
This is the view of the counter top range when I inspected the range.
Sad to say, but the range was installed this way. Good for the sellers there had never been an issue of the wire nuts falling off and someone getting electricuted from pans hitting the bare wires under the range and in the cabinets.
This is the kind of stuff that makes me wonder if the local inspector even inspect at all.
Always get a professional certified home inspection.
