Somewhere in our travels along the backroads, we passed this lovely creature having lunch in his field. We were on a mission and couldn’t stop to take his picture; but on the way back, we made a quick U-turn, stopped and took several.

Just look at those hooves and that mane. Then look at that magnificent tail. I can just him saying:

I love that you take U turns to get a picture. I am still trying to figure out how to get the photo of sea ducks who have made a home complete with big nest in the eucalyptus trees over 101...Love the tail and hooves, what a gorgeous creature!

Alexandra - All I have to say to Craig is "Oh look at that" and he knows what I want.

Belinda - he has an exceptionally long tail. I can't imagine keeping it looking beautiful.

Carol - yes, he is a Percheron. Gorgeous animals.

Debbie - Percherons have long, luxurious tails but his is extra long.

Debb - she would love to see this little pony :)

Bill - yes, Percherons are draft/work horses - very beautiful and huge. The breed originated in France.
