Marketing Tip Monday: Take Advantage of Unique Holidays

Think outside the box. Isn't that what you're constantly told these days? Don't do what everyone else does. Well, this goes for your holiday marketing as well.

When you touch your contacts, you typically factor in holiday marketing, right? (Right?) That usually means the traditional holidays like New Years, Valentine's Day, Labor Day, and Christmas. I'm here to tell you that, although it's great to touch your contacts on traditional holidays, that's also a sure-fire way to get missed. How many Christmas cards do you receive each year and then can't remember all the people who sent them because the holiday is so hectic.

Your Monday Marketing Tip is this: Try some unique holiday marketing. Take a look at some upcoming unique holidays and find something that will help you stand out from the crowd. Being unique is a great way to also become unforgettable!

Great tip!  You are right we normally just think of the traditional holidays but I can see you point.  Thanks for thinking outside the box and sharing this tip!

Even though some of the most common holidays don't usually spur greeting cards it would still make an imact if you sent them.  Think of what getting a card for National ice cream day or something like that would do? Especially if you arranged for a redeemable coupon at your local ice cream stand! Great idea!
