Love being a Buyers Agent Extraordinaire! It's the detective inside!

I sure do love being a Buyers Agent Extraordinaire, it is the detective buried deep inside me that comes out!  You can tell when an agent really loves what they do and I hope that my clients can tell that immediately about me.  When I have a new home buyer client, I can't help but get so excited and can't wait to dig around the multi-list (MLS).  I love taking what the client says they want, no matter how long the list, then culling through the results and finding the starting matches.  Then, once you have shown one or two, you gleen what things are really of utmost importance and what things can be overlooked and you go back to the MLS to see what you can find that is going to make that client go "Wow, this is it"!  

That moment is the one of the most rewarding things for an agent. It means that you have read them correctly and done your job well.  Not that the job is over by any means. There is still plenty of work to do.  This is where the benefit of using an agent as a buyer shines.  Contract negotiations, inspections and repairs, appraisal, bank and attorney coordination all are part of the benefit of having a buyer agent.  For us, this is what we do each day, we know the ins and out, and how to look out for our clients best interests.  When my client gets to close on that perfect home and you are sitting beside them and they are handed the keys to their new home, that is another "best moment"!

Being a Buyers Agent is about turning into that detective that I always wanted to be and doing the homework to find my clients the home that fills all the needs on that original list.  I have to share the best picture that I client of mine posted on Facebook.  Some clients may only spend a weekend looking for a home, a relocation may have just one day...but some clients are willing to take the time if the right house is not out there right off the bat.  These clients of mine had a very specific list of wants in their new home.  They had outgrown their current home but were not willing to move until we found just the right one.  I kept scouring the market and we jumped at every new listing that seemed to fit; first one in the door for a few!  But none of them were just right.  It was a waiting game and finally, finally the right one hit the market!  One of the criteria was a pool, they so wanted one before the end of summer.  Getting to tell those clients at the closing on the house that we finally found that was just perfect for them that we did it, a pool before the end of summer and seeing their kids playing in that pool before even the furniture was delivered made my smile as big as theirs!  

 

The rewards of the hunt!  The best part of being a buyers agent!
