Loreena,  I am glad you out-grew the asthma.  What an expensive way to learn that cars need more than gas and windshield wiper fluid.  The valet is pretty funny!  

My teenage neighbor did not know you need to check the oil...Car just went kaput to her amazement too...thank you for sharing

I am jealous you play the piano, Loreena.  My mother forced me when I was young and I rebelled.  Wish I had listened.  Funny about the car.

My daughter took ballet and plays the piano but civil engineering? Hard to believe the same person could do all that.

Loreena, Those are some pretty exciting places. I bet your list is long for your future destinations. Kids seem to take priority for awhile as they should. I enjoyed your journey through the past.

That's such a cute picture. I always knew you were a talented person but I never knew you played the piano and ballet for 14years. Can't wait to see what else you will do in life...

Loreena, carrying your own bed to sleep in while visiting rural villages in the mountains of Kenya must have been very tiring even if you outgrew the asthma.

Loreena- Love this. Such a varied life you have had. I must say you are not one to let grass grow under your feet. :)

What a cute GET TO KNOW ME (past!), I think asthma cure can also be dryer climate in US than in Asia? At least that is what we thought for me.  :-)

I am glad you got over your asthma! I would also like to go to both Kenya and Maui. That is (sad) funny about the car. I once had a car when I was around age 21 that developed a bad oil leak on the drive from NJ to VT for a ski trip. I didn't want to stop driving so I stopped in an auto store and bought two cases of oil with me to make the 7 hour trip and get the car fixed while I was skiing instead of missing the ski trip. As an adult I cringe at all the oil that was wasted, but I wanted to go on that ski trip!
