Hello Joetta - I like that your post explains the meaning "distressed sales" to your readers.  In the real estate industry, we toss around words and terms without regard to what a consumer may think or know.   A standard sale may very well be "distressed" when it comes to deferred maintenance but it is nothing like a short sale or bank owned property.
