This really is a beautiful part of the country that we call home. Not only is the weather practically perfect but we have the ocean, as well as mountains. There are so many things to do outside. Poway alone has over 55 miles of trails!
Many of those trails lead to Lake Poway Recreation Area. Located just off of Espola Rd, this park has trails for every type of hiking enthusiast. The path around the lake is just 3.5 miles, while the notorious “potato chip rock”, at the top of Mount Woodson, is an arduous 8 mile hike. There is also fishing and paddle boats for those looking for some relaxation. As well as baseball fields, picnic areas and a playground.
