To Build or Not to Build?

I realise that many people would rank building a new home second only to getting a divorce in terms of stress, and sometimes, the latter follows the former.

Yes. It can be stressful to build a new home as there are literally 100’s of decisions to be made for things like flooring, cabinetry, paint, siding, appliances, etc. It is important that someone take charge or have a person they have confidence in to make those choices.

During the most recent real estate downturn, the decision was somewhat easier as it made more sense to buy resales which were selling below replacement cost. Now that the prices for homes have gone up, I feel that you can build equity faster by building your own home.

If this might be of interest to you, I’d be happy to provide you with examples for house/lot packages that might surprise you. I am putting my money where my mouth is as I plan to build at least one new home in the very near future.

Have a wonderful week.

Aloha,

Ken

P.S. If building is simply not your cup of tea, I can certainly understand. If you are looking for a luxury home with outstanding bi-coastal views for around $1.6 million, there is a property that may be perfect for you. It is not in the MLS per instructions from the Seller. I took a video of this property in the exclusive gated Kulamalu Hilltop subdivision.
