Yes, we have been spoiled this winter. Now, it has arrived! The winter clothing, warm accessories and boots are out and ready to go! Icy walkways, driveways and cold cars are the norm now. Thought we would never see snow! Clients are still going to move, look at homes and they are so excited, I don't think they even notice that when I am talking with them, frost is coming out of my mouth and theirs!
One good thing that worked for me last week, we were out looking at homes and for our last appointment, we were about 45 minutes too early. So, I suggested that we go and have a cup of hot tea or coffee. It worked out well because we were able to discuss the homes that they had seen and they relaxed a little bit. I was amazed by their comments, on the different home styles, neighborhoods and basically, how they had changed some of their previous ideas of their "perfect new home."
We happily visited the last home of their tour that day. They walked in and just fell head over heels for the home. It was decorated nicely, newer kitchen, clean and crisp rooms throughout. It was everything that they had just described to me at our cafe stop. I was so pleased for them.
Sounds like a Cinderella story, doesn't it? Oh, by the way, this type of day is what makes this profession the wonderful and fullfilling job that I love! This couple was referred to me by their friends!
