It's Time to Garden, Community Style, in Parks, AZ

Are you ready to get your hands dirty? Or not. Community gardens are a fabulous way to socialize, spend some quality time outdoors and learn about growing your own food. Not only that, but if you're not into the actual gardening bits, many community gardens let you purchase some of the YuMMY foods if you haven't put in the dirty time. Guess what else? You also get to see where your food is coming from and wander around the garden of delightful, edible plants.
Parks Community Garden asks for donations for the veggies you
takeaway. You get to decide what works for you and YOU are the lucky winner of whatever veggies & herbs you pick. There are no set hours but you have a better chance of connecting with folks who can sell you the yumminess & walk you through the garden on the weekends. Not sure if they're open the month you're visiting? Your best bet is June - August but depending on the year they can be open much earlier in Spring and much later in Fall. The people in charge are super friendly, the area is gorgeous AND you get food out of the deal. Win, WiN, WIN!
