I moved to Lexington about two years ago from Long Island, New York. I lived there for 30 years and was looking for a place to retire and pursue a second career. My wife and I looked for a few years before we visited this wonderful place. Lexington offers many activities ranging from plays, music concerts to civil war history. The town has two universities, Washing & Lee and Virginia Military Insititue. With both of these universities within walking distance of each other, the community is alive and vibrant. Even though this keeps the town hopping, it still has the small town feel. It seems that if you want to be active, you have the ability to do so. There is also plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of this special place.
The Virginia Horse Center is located on the outskirts of Lexington and plenty of events take place there, concerts, carnivals, fairs and of course horse shows and rodeo's. This is the city where Stonewall Jackson decided to have his only home and Robert E. Lee rests in a chapel named after him. This area abounds in history.
We know if you decide to visit our beautiful town, that you will fall in love with it We did. This is one of the major reasons I decided to sell real estate, so that others could enjoy this area as much as my wife and I do.
That's all for now.......
