The rumors about a Trader Joe's grocery store opening up in the old Broders Books location in Sterling, VA have proven to be false.
Alison Mochizuki, director of public relations for California-based Trader Joe's, said the company has no plans in the next two years to open a store location in Sterling, VA.
I know my wife and I are a bit disappointed. It would be great to have a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods out here in eastern Loudoun County. It would a perfect compliement to Wegman's right here in Ashburn/Sterling.
Well we can hope. After all, Ms. Mochizuki did refuse to comment on Trader Joe's plans for anything after 2 years. We'll see what the future brings. For now, the Border's storefront is to become a Total Hockey/Total Lacrosse.
