Activerain Summertime Meetup in MARYLAND
I am looking forward to my first activerain meeting next week, Monday, August 19th - 12:30 at the Greene Turtle in Gambrills. What a perfect spot for my first meet up!
There's nothing quite like an Activerain Meetup in summertime or any time. YOU'RE INVITED!
My first opportunity to meet other Activerainers in person occurred about five years ago, when Brian Block invited a handful of people from DC, Maryland and Virginia to gather for lunch in Northern Virginia. I didn't know any of the other people in attendance, and hadn't ever met Brian in person, but some of us quickly became great friends - in person and online - and now we always look forward to seeing each other again. Since then, the experience has been repeated in many corners of this large Metropolitan area, hosted by many different people, and it's always great fun!
If you've never been to an Activerain Meet-up, now is the time! (And, of course, it's time AGAIN if you have attended other Activerain Meet-ups.)
Gambrills, Maryland, will be the site of this Activerain MeetUp on Monday, August 19, so mark your calendars. It's true that Gambrills may not be a typical go-to location in Maryland compared to Annapolis, Baltimore, Bethesda, etc., but it's convenient and accessible to all of the above. Besides, one of the benefits of these gatherings is to discover new places as well as new friends, right? Here are the details:
Place: The Greene Turtle (located in the Waugh Chapel Towne Center)
Address: 2383 Brandermill Boulevard, Gambrills, MD 21054
Date: Monday, August 19, 2013
Time: 12:30 p.m. for lunchIf you're familiar with other locations of the Greene Turtle, you know this meet-up will take place on "Burger Monday," when every burger item on the menu is just $6.99, regardless of the published price. But, of course, you can order anything on the fabulous Greene Turtle menu and they've agreed to do separate checks to make it easy for us.
Please mark it on your calendar and let me know you plan to attend so I'll know whether to reserve one table or more. You can just indicate your plans to attend in the remarks of this post or email me at MWoda@mris.com.

P.S. You'll actually receive a bunch of Activerain points for attending this event and blogging about it, so be sure to bring your camera!
and Join the Activerain Meetups Group so you'll never miss another meetup in your area..
